About
This blog is called Beyond Zero Sum because it is my strong belief that most American Jews have been taught that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a Zero Sum Game.
What is good for the Arabs must be bad for Israel. If the Palestinians get something, Israel must lose something.
That is Win-Lose.
It is easy to see how that assumption colors every decision that comes afterwards.
I believe in a Positive Sum Game – that by creating a workable and constantly improving two state solution, both sides can gain.
That is Win-Win.
In my analysis, I try to be fair, analytical and non-partisan.
Some of the calculus of Mid East Peace from my point of view:
2 STATES > THAN THE SUM OF ITS PARTS.
ISRAEL + PALESTINE = LONGTERM SECURITY.
AN AGREEMENT ITSELF ≠ PEACE.
